Ogun 2021 Budget: MDAs Begin Defence Before Assembly On Monday



The Ogun State Government's Ministries Departments and Agencies will this  Monday, begin the defence of their various budget estimates In the 2021 Appropriation Bill before the State House of Assembly.

 Clerk of the House and Head of Legislative Services,Mr. Deji Adeyemo announced the date in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews in Abeokuta, the state capital.

He said  that the exercise would be declared open by the Speaker, Right. Honourable Olakunle Oluomo while  the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Olakunle Sobukanla  would be presiding over various standing committees with their MDAs.

The Budget defence according to the statement, will commence with "the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the Information, Culture and Tourism, Special Duties, Ministry of Transpotation, at Room 215 of the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by 10:00am prompt."

Adeyemo  enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State to appear in compliance with the COVID- 19 protocol and with strict adherence to the schedule for the annual exercise.

Governor Dapo Abiodun had last December 2,presented the budget proposal of N339billion which included capital vote of N177 billion and recurrent expenditure of N162billion with projected Internally Generated Revenue of N119billion to the lawmakers for consideration and approval.

The Appropriation Bill later passed through first and second reading , a day after it was presented to the house.
