Alake Installs Ladipo Adebutu, Wife As Lisa-Aje Egba, Erelu Lisa-Aje





It was a rich display of Yorubas royalty and traditions as the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo honoured former House of Representatives member and governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Hon.(Chief) Ladipo Adebutu with  Chieftancy titles as Lisa-Aje Egba along with his wife, Chief (Mrs) Adenike as Erelu Lisa-Aje Egba from Remo-land.

The colourful ceremony held at the Ake-Palace Abeokuta on Saturday, attracted top Yoruba Monarchs including, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Agura of Gbagura-Abeokuta,Oba Saburee Bakre, Dagburewe of Odowa, Oba Yinusa Adekoya who stood in for the Awujale of Ijebu-l as well as Elepe of Epe-Sagamu , Oba Adewale Osiberu who represented the Akarigbo of  Remo-land whose son and daughter being honoured by the Egbas paramount ruler  with Chieftancy titles.

The traditional rulers took turns to give their royal blessings to the new  title holders ,before they were later installed by the Egbas' paramount ruler as Egba Chiefs with certificate and staff of office as the palace went into celebration mood to welcome the couple as members of Egba Council of Chiefs.

Receiption was later held in honour of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant in the 2019 Ogun State governorship election and his wife at Park-Inn and Radisson Hotel in Abeokuta. 

The State Chairman of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Sikirulah Ogundele in a chat with Edu-Biznews during the ceremony marking 15th coronation of Oba Gbadebo, described the Chieftancy titles bestowed on Hon.Ladipo and wife as appreciation of the Egbas who acknowledged his immeasurable contributions to the economy and development of Abeokuta and the state at large.

Ogundele expressed confidence in the competence  of Adebutu to transform the physical and economic landscape of the State, if he decides to seek the PDP ticket and contests the 2023 governorship race.
