Adamawa,Niger Governors.Sign Appropriation Bills For 2021Fiscal Year

More governors in Nigeria have continued to sign Appropriation Bills into laws after their passage by their respective houses of assembly, to ensure January to December budget implementation cycle in the coming 2021fiscal year.

Governor  Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State on Saturday signed the state’s 2021 budget of over N140 billion into law while his counter part in Niger state, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello signed N153billion budget size into law.

Fintiri who commended the lawmakers in Yola for passing the budget on the Eve of Christmas, explained that the higher   percentage for capital projects to enable his administration deliver physical infrastructure including roads, schools and hospitals as promised the people of the state. 
 
The budget, tagged: ‘Budget of Stabilisation’ according to the governor "is meant to stabilise development efforts and make Adamawa people feel the impact of governance.

In Niger State ,Governor Abubakar Sani Bello signing the 2021 Appropriation Bill of  N153 billion into law in Minna, promised that his administration  would do its best to use every available legal means to increase the state’s internally generated revenue as suggested by the legislators.

He explained that the 2021 budget is a reflection of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the state, adding that the state government had to scale down the size of the budget due to the downturn of the economy.

 The 2021 budget according to the governor, 'is broad and moderately targeted at completing ongoing projects and as such sought the understanding of the people".

Other governors ,Abdulahi Ganduje  
of Kano State and Solomon Lalung 
of Plateau State respectively also assented to the 2021 Appropriation Bills.
