Authorities of the Ogun State Government owned Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, have approved the appointment of 24 Senior Academic Staff of the Polytechnic.
The approval was granted at the Council's statutory meeting held on Tuesday, 14th July, 2026.
According to a statement by Head, Public Relations & Protocol of the institution, Yemi Ajibola, the appointments include
ten (10) Chief Lecturers, thirteen (13) Principal Lecturers, and one (1) Chief Technologist.
The appointments, which cover the 2022, 2023, and 2024 promotion years, take retrospective effect from 1st October of each respective year.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Emeritus Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, reaffirmed the Council's commitment to ensuring that staff promotions and appointments are processed promptly as and when due.
According to him, the exercise is aimed not only at motivating staff but also at repositioning the Polytechnic to its rightful place among the comity of polytechnics in Nigeria.
He commended the dedication, resilience, and commitment of members of staff to the growth and development of the institution.
In his remarks, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Arc. Dr. 'Koye Jolaoso, congratulated the beneficiaries and reassured all staff members of the institution's commitment to fairness, equity, and justice.
He urged the appointees to justify their appointments through greater dedication, enhanced productivity, and commitment to duty.
