Community Leaders Praise SUBEB For Advancing Basic Education In Ogun

Community leaders have commended Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for its sustained efforts at improving basic education across the State, particularly in Yewa North Local Government Area where the agency recorded  noticeable impact 

They gave the commendation in Igbokofi and Oke-Ola during a monitoring exercise conducted at AUD Primary School, Ijoun, in Yewa North.

Speaking during the exercise, Chairman of SUBEB, Evang. Olalekan Ifede, described the contributions of the communities as commendable, appreciating their unwavering support toward the development of basic education.

Ifede, highlighted key interventions by the communities, including the engagement of Parents Club (PC) teachers to complement existing teaching staff, reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to ensuring that every child had access to quality basic education.

In his response, a representative of the Baale of Igbokofi, Chief Alani Bamgbose, expressed gratitude to the Board for the visit and pledged the continued support of the community for government initiatives, particularly in the education sector.

Other schools visited during the monitoring exercise included YNLG Primary School, Saala; St. Paul’s African Church Primary School 1 and school II, Kesan Oke-Oyinbo, Ayetoro; St. Paul’s African Church Primary School I and II Agbado; and Zumuratul Islamiyya Primary Schools I and III, Akute; Local Government Nursery and Primary School I&II, Abekoko, Ifo; NUD Primary School I & II, Ifo; among others.
