Rector of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Arc. Dr. ‘Koye Jolaoso, has declared that all members of staff could close work at 12:00 noon this Tuesday, 26th May, 2026, to enable them prepare adequately for the Muslims festivities of Eid-el-Kabir
The Rector gave the approval in a statement made available to Edu-biznews by Head, Public Relations and Protocol of the institution, Yemi Ajibola, congratulating all Muslims of the Polytechnic on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
While felicitating the Muslim community of the Institution, the Rector appreciated them for their commitment and dedication to the growth and development of the Polytechnic.
He also urged them to continue to uphold the spirit of togetherness, love, purposeful sacrifice, and dignity in service for the overall benefit of the Institution and society at large.
Arc. Dr. Jolaoso further encouraged the Ummah to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s _ASW_ obedience to Allah and his willingness to sacrifice, noting that the festival serves as a global reminder of faith, submission and charity.
He added that, with collective focus, commitment to God, and team spirit, MAPOLY would continue to grow stronger and remain a reference point for other Institutions in Vocational and Technical Education.
Similarly, the Federal Government declared Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28, 2026, as public holidays to mark the celebration.
Dr. Jolaoso, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students, wishes all Muslim Community members and the Ummah at large a peaceful, joyous and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
