Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello has on behalf of the management, staff, and the entire University community, lauded the appointment of the Acting Director, LASU Ventures Limited, Professor Olufemi Adebowale Abass as the incoming Director-General and Head of Mission of the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Banjul, The Gambia.
Professor Olufemi Adebowale Abass is a Professor of Risk Management and Insurance with extensive experience in academia, research, and professional practice.
His emergence as Director-General of WAII demonstrates the value of perseverance, competence, and consistent service, and serves as an inspiration for younger academics and professionals striving for excellence.
The Vice-Chancellor in a statement, described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition , saying it is a testament to his distinguished academic career, his contributions to research, and his unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge and public service.
