TESCOM, MURIC Meet On Sustenance Of Religious Harmony Among Teachers, Learners In Ogun Schools




Ogun State Teaching Service Commission has met with top officials of the State chapter of Muslim Rights Concern on the need to further strengthen the government's zero tolerance policy against any form of religious persecution or discrimination against students and staff in Ogun State schools

The State Secretary of MURIC , Ambassador Olaleye Rasheed Damilare who made this known on Monday in a statement made available to Edu-biznews, said TESCOM Chairman , Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu gave the reassurance during the meeting with the Muslim group led by its State Chairman, Ustaadh Tajudeen Jimoh Alao, inside the agency's office at the State Secretariat Oke-mosan in Abeokuta 

MURIC in the statement described the meeting as constructive , saying there was cordial dialogue between the commission and the rights group 

The statement added that the meeting held under the atmosphere of mutual respect, joy, and cooperation, addressed key matters affecting Muslim students and teachers across the state 

"At the conclusion of the meeting, the Commission reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward any form of religious persecution or discrimination against students and staff in Ogun State schools"

" Both parties expressed a shared commitment to fostering an environment of peaceful coexistence,* mutual understanding, and academic excellence within the state’s educational system", the statement concluded
