The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has granted a two -week extension for the filing of Annual Tax Returns by Tax Agents in the state.
The extended filing window which commenced from the beginning of this month, will end on February 14, 2026
The window according to a statement by the agency, provides Tax Agents with additional time to comply with statutory laws.
"Tax Agents are advised to take advantage of this extension to file their returns accurately and promptly."
"Tax Agents must note that
filing annual returns is a legal obligation for all taxable individuals and organisations"
Those who fail to file within the stipulated period will be liable to penalties, and other sanctions as provided by law.
OGIRS in the statement, encouraged all Tax Agents who are yet to comply, to take advantage of the extention period to avoid unnecessary penalties and to enjoy the benefits of a transparent and digitalized driven tax system
