LASU VC, Prof.Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello Becomes Member Of NgREN/TERAS Governing Board




Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello has been  formally inaugurated, alongside other distinguished appointees, into the Governing Board of the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN)/Tertiary Education Research Applications and Services (TERAS) Integration.

The inauguration held on Friday during the Mid-term Co-Creation Workshop, was jointly convened by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre, Abuja.

The newly reconstituted NgREN/TERAS Board was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Olatunji Alausa, and the Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani. 


The Board is saddled with the critical mandate of advancing Nigeria’s national agenda for enhanced connectivity, strengthened research collaboration, and improved digital readiness across tertiary education and research institutions.

The ehtire Lagos State University community wished the Vice-Chancellor and all members of the Board the very best as they embark on this significant national assignment.


The Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, under the auspices of the National EdTech Strategy Task Force, appointed the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, as a *Member of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN)/Tertiary Education Research Applications and Services (TERAS) Integration* in her capacity as the *Chairman, Committee of Vice-Chancellors of State Universities (CVCSU).*

This appointment, conveyed through a formal communication to Professor Olatunji-Bello, highlights her exceptional leadership in higher education administration and her longstanding commitment to strengthening digital transformation across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.

The newly constituted Board will play a central role in driving Nigeria’s agenda for enhanced connectivity, research collaboration, and digital readiness across higher education.

The management, staff, and students of Lagos State University warmly congratulated Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello on this significant national recognition. 

Her inclusion on the Board is a testament to her distinguished stewardship of LASU, her visionary contributions to the advancement of digital learning, and her unwavering dedication to educational excellence.
