An Islamic organization, Jamhiyat Nuur Somodany Al-Islamy Foundation (JANSAF) has acknowledged individuals who contributed greatly to the propagation of Islam with its distinguished awards
JANSAF under the leadership of Fadilat Sheikh Al-Khaleefah Abdul-Qadri Ishola Olorunseye, presented the awards during the organization's 2025 Maolid Nabiyy held over the weekend in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital which attracted top Muslim clerics including the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Fadilat Sheikh Saadallah Alade Bamgbola and dignitaries, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Yewa North two, Hon. Harun Abdul-Wahab Egungbohun and a Federal Commissioner, Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Hon. Akeem Amosun
The awardees include Alhaji Abdul-Gafar Majekodunmi Olamilekan, Alhaji Muhammed Lukmon Olasunmomi Lawal, Fadilat Sheikh Sufiyan Babatunde Olamilekan Oyewole (Wazeer Faedot Tijaniya), Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Afuape Babatunde, Alhaji Moibi Olufondun, Alhaji Nurudeen Sanyaolu ( Balogun Adeen Akepe Oluwa) , Mr Ogunride Morufu as well as Engr Wasiu (Oluaye) and Alhaji Wasiu
Guest speaker, Fadilat Sheikh Abdul-Rofiu Solahudeen (Al-Munfaluty ), Fadilat Sheikh Abdul-Lateef Olorunseye and other Islamic Scholars in their separate sermons from the Holy Quran, appreciated Allah for using Sheikh Abdul-Qadri Ishola Olorunseye for sustenance of the solid foundation laid by his late father and the Olorunseye family in Islam which according to them, has contributed immensely to the moral and spiritual growth of many homes, particularly in the ancient city of Abeokuta
He described Sheikh Abdul-Qadri Ishola Olorunseye as one of the shining lights in Islam whom Allah has been using to propagate Islam through establishment of Arabic and Islamic Studies School and other meaningful ways to champion the cause of Islam
Fathers of the day, Hon. Harun Abdul-Wahab Egungbohun and Hon. Akeem Amosun, motherof the day, Alhaja (Chief) Habibat Shorunke, (the Iya Suno of JANSAF ) Alhaja (Mrs) Adeola Oluwabunmi and Alhaja (Mrs) Misturah Ashani Oluwanishola amongst other dignitaries pledged their financial and moral support to the growth of Islam through the organization
Some of the learners from the Arabic and Islamic Studies School spiced up the event with words of Admonition taken from the Holy Quran on the spiritual importance of propagating Islam , using their wealth, position of influence and knowledge
