Hajia Sekinat Yusuf Completes Tenure As Amirah of Egba-Yewa Zone Of Al-Mu'minaat, Calls For Stronger Zone





Members of Egba-Yewa Zone of Al-Mu'minaat, the Believing Muslim Women Organization have been charged to collectively work as a team , so as to build a stronger zone for next generation of members 

Hajia Sekinat Abdur-Raheem Yusuf who will be handling over as Zonal Amirah, made call on Saturday during the Al-Mu'minaat Yewa-Egba Zone Convention held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital 

She urged every member to embrace the spirit of teamwork and unity to enable them participate actively in various community projects being done by the organization 

Hajia Sekinat who described Al-Mu'minaat as beacon of empowerment for Muslim women, encouraged members to work harder together to build a stronger , more dynamic and impactful Al-Mu'minaat for the next generation of members 

"I urge every member to embrace teamwork, unity and active participation in our community projects. Let us continue to build on the foundations of faith, service and excellence, ensuring that Al Mu’minaat remains a beacon of empowerment for Muslim women"
"Let’s ensure that the next generation of Al-Mu’minaat will inherit an organization even stronger, more dynamic and more impactful than what we have today", she urged 

The outgoing Amirah who reflected on the theme of the Zonal Convention", Sustaining Excellence Through Unity", stressed the need for every member to continue to work together as a team, saying excellence is not achieved alone except through collective efforts of all members 

"The theme for this year’s convention - “SUSTAINING EXCELLENCE THROUGH UNITY” - resonates deeply with our mission as a community of believing women striving for progress, empowerment and spiritual growth. Excellence is not achieved alone; it is sustained through unity, collaboration and the collective commitment of every member"

She therefore called on members to extend similar support to the incoming executive of the zone, by renewing their commitment to the organization committed to meaningful impact in the lives of women, families and society at large 
"As we reflect on the achievements of the past years, let us also renew our commitment to supporting the incoming leadership, fostering unity and ensuring that our organization continues to thrive and impact the lives of women, families and society positively"

Similarly, Hajia Madinat Sunus Ayilara, Deputy Bursar, Crescent University, Abeokuta, in her lecture titled "Teamwork As The Backbone Of Sustainable Excellence”, cited the spiritual and moral importance of working as a team in Islam from the period of the Holy Prophet, Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him, his household and companions )
She stressed the need for every member of Al-Mu'minaat to embrace the principles of working with unity of purpose to achieve and sustain excellence in the organization 

"We must have shared purpose, we must all work together with open heart, we must be morally and spiritually sound to sustain the success recorded in Islam", she admonished members 

Hajia Madinat likened every member to be a block, needed to build a stronger house in the organization 

According to her, excellence can only be sustained when there are unity of purpose, mutual consultation, justice and accountability, sincerity, discipline and showing of empathy among members

She added team work would enable the organization to build a more resilient Al-Mu'minaat strong enough to overcome challenges, encourage accountability, promote innovations and ensure sustainable legacies for the incoming generation 

High point of the convention included presentation of gifts to some of the branches of the organization in the local governments for their outstanding contributions to Al-Mu'minaat 
Hajia Sekinat officially presented gifts to Odeda, Yewa-South, Abeokuta-South, Abeokuta-North and Yewa-North and members of Zonal executive in appreciation of their various contributions to the success of the zone and Al-Mu'minaat at large 
Some of the dignitaries at the convention included Mrs Anifowose Aishat Chief Executive Officer (Audit)
