The school located in a very conducive learning environment at Harmony Estate (Ikereku) within Laderin area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital,
was founded on 10th September, 2017, with first set of seven students in the Junior secondary school including five in JSS 1 while two students were in JSS 2 for the 2017/2018 academic session
The school also commenced its academic activities eight years ago with 10 members of staff; a principal and a vice- principal academics.
In 2022 , Lyceum College presented its first set of candidates for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations conducted separately by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) during which all the students who sat for both examinations came out in a flying colour , an academic feat which the school has continued to sustain till date

The well equipped Information and Communication Technology ICT laboratory, also demonstrated the readiness of the management of Lyceum College for the Computer Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) to be conducted by The West African Examination Council for school candidates in May-June 2026
Lyceum College also has a swimming pool where students can cool-off to manage the stress of academic rigours and be more refreshed returning to classrooms for learning activities
