Ogun State Government has pledged its compliment to always replicate the Federal Government's Smart Model School situated at the Ikenne axis of the State.
The State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology. Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu gave the assurance during an assessment tour of the school facilities, saying the state was not unmindful of the benevolence of the Federal Government and as such all necessary facilities must be provided to ensure that learners stay in the most conducive environment for learning
He noted that the initial arrangement where the primary and secondary arms were situated together would be changed as he promised that more classrooms, technical gadgets, standard laboratories and incentives would be provided for the primary and secondary arms of the school and the teachers, an act which he said would complement Federal Government effort.
‘’The best idea is to put primary and secondary schools learners in different facilities, for proper coordination and administration, and not under the same building as the situation is. That is why we have come for this visitation to put things in proper perspectives,’’ Arigbabu said.
The Commissioner further enjoined the Principal, Head teacher, academic and non-academic staff of the school to upgrade and update their technological innovative skills in conformity with the ideals behind the establishment of the school, while charging to put in their best them in order to complement government’s efforts.
In a related development, the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reaffirmed the administration resolve to upscale the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences of the Olabisi Onabanjo University. Represented by his State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu promised to improve the capacities of the lecture theaters at
Abiodun, represented also by the commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, made the promise during the Induction Ceremony of the 31st Graduating Set of Doctors from the college, at the Teaching Hospital complex Sagamu, affirming government resolve to provide modern equipment, upgrade the lecture rooms, with the intention of providing admission for more medical students, so as to take care of the health needs of the people.
The Governor charged the newly inducted Doctors to be creative, resilience and develop entrepreneurial ability to be relevant in this digital age, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
