It was a double joy for Dorcas Toluwanike, founder of Career Builder Nursery and Primary, a fast growing private school in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, as she celebrated her birthday with 2024/2025 valedictory service organized for the third set of Basic five pupils graduating from school and moving to secondary school
The highly elated founder also used the event to announce the establishment of secondary section of the school "Career Builder City College" located within the same premises at Japo Big-Master in Adigbe area of Abeokuta
She added that the new school would be admitting its pioneer set of pupils into Junior Secondary School class 1 in the coming 2025/2026 session, urging parents of the graduating pupils in the primary section to enrol them into the school for continuity of qualitative and morally sound education
Toluwanike was full of appreciation for her father, Reverend James Sunday Ibitoye who encouraged to study education in higher institution and later turned out to be a successful educationist as a school owner
She equally acknowledged the contributions of the school's director, teaching staff as well as management and parents for the moral and financial support given so far to ensure the growth of the school
She enjoined the graduating pupils in basic class to be good ambassadors of the school as they move to the next level into Junior Secondary School class
Head-teacher of the school, Yetunde Adeniyi had earlier appreciated the parents for believing in the qualitative education being given to pupils in the school, urging them(parents) to enrol their children into the new secondary school equipped with standard facilities and competent teachers
She also charged the graduating class of 2025 to always imbibe the teachings of discipline and moral values learnt and be good ambassadors of the school in secondary schools
Chairman of the event and founder of Anu-Olu Group of Schools Abeokuta, Hon.Semiu Bola Lawal urged fathers to be more alive in addressing the educational needs of their children in school, commending mothers for be more responsive to the children's needs in school
He described Toluwanike as highly determined and resilient former staff of Anu-Olu Group of Schools, expressing confidence that Career Builder Nursery and Primary School would continue to grow higher
Hon.Bola Lawal then prayed God to the parents well wither to provide for the needs of the children in their academic pursuits in secondary school
Also Mrs Bakare in her moral talk urged the graduating class of 2025 to be good representatives of the school by being honest and kind to others in the society
She charged them to see learning as a continuous process as they move to the next level in their education
Highpoint of the event included cutting of birthday cake by the celebrant and well wishers, teachers, parents and leadership of Parents Teachers Association PTA of the school as well as presentation of gifts to pupils with outstanding academic performances and certificates to pupils in Nursery and Primary sections
The event was also spiced up with chorography, cultural dance, drama, interrogative section and other form of presentations by pupils in both Nursery and Primary sections of the school
