Ogun State Government has rewarded Three Best Graduating Students of Gateway Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Polytechnic Saapade in Remo North Local Government Area, with the sum of N2million Naira each, to further motivate learners with excellence performance and encourage outstanding academic achievements
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, while presenting the cheque on behalf of the government, said the presentation was in fulfillment of the promise made by Governor Dapo Abiodun, during the Combined Convocation Ceremony for 2021/2022, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic sessions of the Institution.
Prof. Arigbabu recalled that the Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Engineer Naimot Salako- Oyedele, at the convocation promised to promote excellence and healthy academic rivalry among learners, while commending the beneficiaries for making their parents and the school proud.
"This motivation is to spur you on to continue to excel and for you to further pursue greater height in life", Arigbabu charged.
Appreciating the current administration for the cash awards, Theresa Agu and, Victor Omontuhen both from Department of Business Administration and Management as well as Suliat Yusuf from the Estate Management and Valuation Department, the 2021/2022, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 Best Graduating Students respectively, noted that the generosity comes as as surprise, promising to make judicious use of the Cash
