The Ogun State contingent for the 22nd National Sports Festival, Gateway Games 2024, arrived safely at the Games Village located at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo
The team, comprising athletes, coaches, officials, and support staff, was warmly received by members of the Local Organizing Committee and university representatives upon arrival. Their safe entry into the village marks the beginning of Ogun State’s active participation in the highly anticipated national sporting event.
Speaking on the arrival, a representative of Team Ogun expressed gratitude for the smooth and well-coordinated reception. “We are excited to be here, and we thank the organizers for the warm welcome. Team Ogun is ready to compete with excellence and showcase the true spirit of the Gateway State,” he said.
Team Ogun will now begin final preparations, including training and strategic sessions, ahead of the opening ceremony and upcoming competitions. With the state serving as the host, expectations are high for a strong and impressive showing by the home team.
The Games Village at Babcock University has been fully prepared to ensure the comfort, safety, and readiness of all contingents throughout the duration of the festival.
