Babcock Don Wants Organizations To Appoint Information System Experts Into Top Management Positions

Professor Adewale Adebayo, a specialist in Computer Science and Information Systems has stressed the need for corporate organizations in Nigeria to always appoint experts in Information Management into top managerial positions 

The don made the recommendation while delivering the 53rd inaugural lecture of Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State which has its title "

Information System and Its Security –Information Quest for Godly Exploitation.” 

He advocated the  need for organizations to prioritize productivity and build security into their information systems while emphasizing the importance of having computing-savvy top-level managers who can handle such responsibilities 

The inaugural lecturer advised organizations to take ownership of their stored data and information systems , saying information play a vita role in supporting management and its strategic goals 

He called on the institutions to formalize their usage of social media platforms in 

decision-making in universities, so as to enable them to meet challenges posed by government, students, and 

Security architecture 

He also urged employers, particularly in the education sector, to recognize the value of industry Information management in institutions, where data-driven decision-making is crucial.

Professor Adebayo then stressed the need for individuals to promote ethical living and computing practices
