Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has charged SS3 students to be more dedicated, determined, focused and well equipped in preparation for the forth-coming Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE).
Prof. Arigbabu accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko gave the charge while monitoring the third term resumption for 2024/2025 Academic Session in the Ijebu, Remo and Egba division of the State, enjoining them to shun every act of indiscipline, malpractices and other forms of distraction which could affect their performance during the exercise.
"You are lucky that this administration is placing high premium on outstanding performance, high grade, hence the reason for honouring learners who do well at all times. You must write your name in gold in your respective schools,’’ Arigbabu advised.
He commended learners and teachers across the State for turning out in high percentage at first day of resumption, saying it was a good way of starting the third term of the session.
Also speaking, the Principal of Christ Apostolic Grammar School Senior Iperu and Headteacher, St. James' Anglican Primary School, Mrs. Ololade Adeboyejo and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Olayemi, respectively noted that school activities had fully begun as welcome test was conducted for learners.
Schools visited include, Local Government Primary School, Obalende, Ijebu-Ode Grammar School Ijebu-Ode; Akesan Community Grammar School, Iperu; St. James Anglican Primary School, Ikenne; Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu; Orile-Igbore Grammar School, Ajura; Egba Comprehensive High School, Asero, Abeokuta; Asero High School, Abeokuta; Nawair-ud-deen Grammar School Obantoko, Abeokuta; Akute Community High School and Ajuwon High School.
