Ogun Govt Unfolds Plan To Fully Digitalize All Departments In Education Ministry




Ogun State Government has unfolded plan to fully digitalize every activity of all departments in its Ministry of Education Science and Technology, saying each department would be automated with technology equipment to make work easier for the sector in the state 

 The State Commissioner in the Ministry, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu revealed this in Abeokuta, during the recent visit of retired Permanent Secretaries and a Director who had served as education officers, intimating them on the need to support the Ministry in training the officers on job efficiency.

Arigbabu who took the visitors on a facility tour across some units in the Ministry, added that the examination unit had been digitalised to curb malpractices in all examinations

He emphasised the essential need for transformational changes  in some departments , if the Ministry, should continue to earn its respect as a policy making agency of government.

The Commissioner then charged Directors in the ministry in  to always maintain good relationship with their subordinates towards ensuring peaceful coexistence for effective job delivery.

He commended Mr. Ayodele Koleade, Dr. Joseph Onabanjo, Otunba Johnson Odeyemi, Dr. Waheed Olanloye and Mr. Samuel Adeotan for their worthy legacies, soliciting their cooperation towards training the present workforce on job efficiency, proactiveness and quality assurance.

Speaking, Mr. Joseph Koleade who retired as the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Teaching Service Commission, acknowledged that the Ministry had recorded a lot of changes and transformation since the introduction of Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda, OGSERA, promising their support in any area, for effective service delivery.

Similarly, the Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu received the management of Zulikhat Abiola School of Islamic and Arabic Studies led by Dr. Khadr Mustapha, charging them on systematic approach towards presenting their agitations to the government 

He assured them of Prince Dapo Abiodun administration's support in promoting religious harmony.

The Commissioner also presented house keys and documents to Mr. Akeem Badru of St. Michael R.C.M School, Ogunpa Lunloye, Abeokuta, who won the 2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Awards, out of 99 participants from other countries. 

The presentation was in an effort towards redeeming the promise made by the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun during the year 2023 Teachers' Day Celebration.
