Ogun Govt Honours Nigeria's Youngest Visual Artist, Best Graduating Student Of Mountain Top University With Cash Prizes




Governor Dapo Abiodun's administration in Ogun State  has continued to reward academic excellence among learners in the state with cash prizes

Master Ebunoluwa Morenikeji, a primary 5 pupil of Federal College of Education Staff School, Osiele, who won Youngest Visual Artist in Nigeria and Miss Judith Iganya, the Best Graduating Student of Mountain Top University were awarded with cash prize of N2.5 Million and N2 Million respectively.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in the State, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu explained that the Youngest Artist was discovered by the Governor at the 2023 Gateway International Trade-Fair and was promised scholarship for his special talents

He added that the cash award given to Judith Iganya was a continuation of recognition of academic excellence and brilliant performance among the learners in both public and private institutions, established by Prince Abiodun’s administration, to honour those who continue to make the State proud.

"Continue to make the State proud, never rest on your oars and be the source of motivation and encouragement to others", Arigbabu charged.

Expressing his gratitude for the gift, Ebunoluwa Morenikeji appreciated the Governor for creating opportunities for children’s development and for helping the youth to reach their potentials, saying his aspiration was to have his own art gallery.

 Judith Iganya commended the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration for recognising and motivating excellent performance among learners

He noted that it was a step in the right direction because it would encourage healthy competition and help students to strive for the best.

Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Mountain Top University, Ogun State, Prof. Elijah Ayoolabi commended the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary for their contributions towards repositioning the education sector in the State, promising to continue to support the policy of government on education especially as it applies to the Private sector.
