Ogun Chief Judge Swears-In Four Members Of Local Govt Poll Tribunal




Ogun State Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, has sworn in four members of Local Government Election Petitions Tribunal towards ensuring fairness and dispensation of justice over the recently concluded November 16,Local Government elections in the state.

The four-member election tribunal has Mrs. Oluko Arowolo Titilayo as its Chairman, while other members include,Mrs. Adekola Adeoye Adekanbi, Mrs. Kehinde Hammed Bada and Mrs. Ashafa Folake Salat. 

The Chief Judge who charged the members of the Tribunal during the ceremony held at the Judicial Complex Conference Hall, Kobape, Abeokuta, to be opened in their justice delivery, described the occasion as a significant step towards ensuring that fairness prevail in the local government elections.

Justice Dipeolu tasked them to resolve disputes arising from the local government elections process with fairness, justice, enjoining them to approach each case meticulously, with unwavering determination to uncover the truth, noting that the responsibility assigned to them was both challenging and rewarding.

The swearing-in ceremony was in accordance with the provisions of Section 85 (1) and (3) of the Ogun Electoral Law. 

She said with the swearing in of LG Tribunal members, the State was poised to address any disputes arising from the Local Government elections in a fair and just manner.
