Chairman of the Ijebu East Local Government Area in Ogun State,Hon. Oyesanya Adetutu Elizabeth, has laid a foundation for construction of a block of classroom at St. Martin’s Catholic Nursery and Primary School, Ebute-Imobi, to further create conducive environment for learning and teaching of pupils in the public schools in nooks and crannies of the local council
The foundation laying also included the Headteacher’s office at the school founded in 1950.
She expressed confidence that the project would be completed in the next one month to the end of her tenure in office
“By the special grace of God, this project will also be completed.
The funds need for completion according to her, has been accessed one hundred percent
The council chairman who was accompanied by the Councilor representing Imobi Ward 10, who is also the Chief Whip of the Ijebu East Legislative Council, Hon. (Mrs.) Kemi Aliyu, said that the project was being executed to make the environment descent for learning, irrespective of the small population of the school
“We still had to come to the rescue of the school as the structure on ground, built with mud in 1950, was totally gone and it does not make any sense to put anything on it. The structure has totally dilapidated irreversibly. That was why we decided to build a new Classroom from the scratch, completed with Headteacher’s Office.”
“There is no ward in the eleven wards of the local government that our Administration has not touched with quality project. We give glory to God and thank our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his team at the state level for their leadership and commitment to the development of our local government”, Oyesanya added.
