National Working Committee (NWC) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has approved an extension of membership registration exercise in Ogun State till 27th of June, 2024 , so as to accommodate more members into the party, ahead of its congresses in the state
Hon.Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade who contested as running mate to Hon.Ladipupo Adebutu in the 2023 governorship poll, had accused the State Secretary of PDP, Dr. Solarin of violating the provision of membership registration by limiting the exercise to just three days as against the allowed 30days period

"To this end, I hereby call on all new and old members that were sidelined in the “concluded” 3 days partial registration to come out in their numbers to be registered and receive their membership cards", he stated
Ogundele in the statement, urged members to mobilize potential volunteers and supporters across the state, ahead of the party's ward Congress holding on Saturday, July 27, in the state
The State Chairman then appreciated the NWC for approving extension of the membership registration
"We must extend our appreciation and gratitude to the National Chairman, Amb. Iliya Urmar Damagun, the National Organising Secretary (NOS), the National Secretary (NS) and other indefatigable NWC members for recognizing the importance of giving everyone the opportunity to join this great party, the PDP", the statement concluded
