Eid-el-Fitr : Gov Abiodun Asks Muslims To Pray For Sustainable Economic Growth In Ogun



Governor Dapo Abiodun has called on Muslims in Ogun State to continue to pray Allah to sustain current development and economic growth in over  four  years of his administration

Abiodun who represented by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat,  made the call on Wednesday at the  Eid-el-Fitr  prayers to mark end of the 2024 Ramadan fasting at the Lantoro Central Eid  Praying Ground in Abeokuta, the State capital

The governor was full of appreciation for the support given so far by the Muslim community in the state, urging them to always imbibe the lessons learnt during the holy month by ensuring peaceful co-existence with others irrespective of their religious beliefs 




Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Sa'adallah Alade Bamigbola who offered prayers to Allah for continuous peace in the state and the entire country, admonished Muslims to always live a pious life worthy of emulation as learnt during the holy month of Ramadan




The cleric called on them to always appreciate the goodness of Allah for keeping them alive to be part of this year's celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, after 30 days of fasting in the  just concluded holy month 

The Baba Adeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States and former Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji-Ishola, Secretary of the State Muslim Council, Alhaji Kamaldeen Akintunde, the Wakilu Muslim of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Sheikh Iskeel Awwal popularly known as Sugar, top government functionaries and other prominent personalities attended the Eid prayers
