2024 Gateway Trade Fair : Ogun Govt To Hold Raffle Draw For Two-Bedroom Bungalow




Participants at the forthcoming  2024 Gateway International Trade Fair holding in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, stand a chance to win a mouth watering grand prize of two-bedroom bungalow in a raffle draw designed to make this year's trade fair  different and better than previous editions 

Special Adviser to the Governor on Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Oluyemisi Somorin-Dawodu, revealed this in Abeokuta, while fielding questions from journalists, after an operational meeting with executives of the Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA)

She added thatdoor of opportunity would be opened to anyone who would participate in the draw.

Somorin-Dawodu said the 13th edition of the Fair, scheduled to hold between Friday, April 19, 2024 and Monday, April 29, 2024, at the M.K.O Abiola International Trade Fair Complex, Abeokuta, had been rebranded to enable residents participate massively.

He disclosed that the annual Fair, organised by the state government, in collaboration with OGUNCCIMA, would also come with other innovations such as, Entertainment Village for participants to relax, wine and dine, among others.

“We decided that this year, we want to make the Fair bigger and better. One of the things we have introduced this year is the raffle draw that will add glamour to the fair and help to bring more people to the Trade Fair and there will be daily prizes. The main prize is a two-bedroom bungalow. And we have also introduced the Entertainment Village where we are going to be selling drinks, food and so on; there will be good music and a live band’’, she said.

The Governor’s aide said government was working towards attracting participants and visitors to the Fair, through increased exhibitors and product offerings, robust publicity and a more effective transportation system, to ease movement of visitors to and from the venue.            

Also speaking, President, OGUNCCIMA, Engr. Mike Akingbade, who lauded government for its support and vibrant idea for the Fair, assured that members of the Chambers would work as team to achieve a successful event.
