NPFL :Remo Stars Return To Summit As Bayelsa, Heartland, Gombe Utd Still Battling In Relegation




Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo have returned to the summit of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with 36points, as second stanza  of the top flight league resumed over the weekend with week 20 round of matches

The Skye Blue Stars were on Sunday held to a goal less draw by homeside, Abia Warriors who are occupying 11th position with 27points while Lobi Stars of Makurdi dropped to second position with 36points after losing 1-2 on the road against Plateau United in Jos who are on the fourth position with 34points 

Fifth placed Kano Pillars are on 33points after being held to one-all draw by homeside Heartland in Owerri who are still struggling in relegation water in the 19th position with 18points while  placed Doma United of Gombe are currently in sixth position with 32points after 2-3 loss in Port-Harcourt to Rivers United who are occupying 10th position with 27points 

Enugu Rangers are now placed seventh on the table with 31points after their lone-goal win at home against Akwa United of Uyo who are occupying 16th position with 21points while Bendel Insurance of Benin are in the eight position with 30points after losing by similar margin to host, Sports Lagos who are currently placed in the 13th on the table with 24points 

Nineth placed Katsina United with 30points were one goal better than visiting Niger Tornadoes of Minna who are still struggling in the 17th position with 21points while Kwara United of Ilorin and homeside Sunshine Stars of Akure settled for one-all draw to occupy 14th and 15th positions with 24 points and 23points respectively

Bayelsa United of Yenegoa defeated visiting Gombe United 2-0 as both teams battle in relegation water with Bayelsa occupying 18th position with 21points while Gombe are languishing at the bottom of the table with just 18points
