Ogun State Government through its Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) has concluded arrangements for holding of a workshop for chemical users and manufacturers in the state this Tuesday, January 30, 2024
The State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ola Oresanya in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews, says the workshop is holding at the Providence Event Centre, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, beginning from 8.00am.
The workshop is expected to be declared open by Governo Dapo Abiodun with the Ministers of Solid Mineral Resources, Mr. Dele Alake and that of Environment, Dr. Isiaq Salako, in attendance.
The workshop according to him, aims at raising awareness on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets, while proffering more knowledge and information on various imported chemicals, storage and utilisation, as well as synergy between chemical handlers and waste managers in the state, while enhancing responsible production, consumption of chemicals and sustainable waste management.
