Ogun State Government has assured the State Social Orientation and Safety (SO-SAFE) Corps of adequate support to enable the corps to provide enough protection for lives and properties across the 20 Local Government Areas in the State
The State Commissioner for Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat gave the assurance during a recent meeting with Officers and Men of the. Corps in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
He said that it was essential that necessary equipment be provided to the Officers and men of the corps, to ensure that the security of the State was not undermined, noting that without adequate security in place with equipped personnel, there would be no development.
The Commissioner appreciated the So-Safe Commandant for a job well done across the State, promising to attend to every pending request to enable the effective and efficient delivery of their duties.
Responding, the Corps Commandant, Commander Soji Ganzalo, emphasized the importance of the security of lives and properties in the State, saying, “It is an utmost priority of the Corps, that is the reason we are soliciting for the Commissioner’s support and congratulating him on his reappointment and redeployment to the Ministry.”
He said the Corps has encountered a lot at surmounting the security challenges in the State and across the country, requesting more equipment and funding for the smooth running of the Corps.
