MAPOLY'S Rector Seeks For More Funding To Sustain Academic Excellence.. Lauds Alumni For Donating Accounting Building

Rector of the Ogun State Government owned Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta,(MAPOLY), Dr Adeoye Odedeji has called on major stakeholders for more funding of the tertiary institution, so as to sustain  its rich tradition of academic  excellence in Nigeria 

Odedeji made the call on Friday  while playing host to the 83/88 Alumni Set of  Accountancy Department of the then Ogun State Polytechnic, whose members are celebrating 35th anniversary of their graduation with proposed construction of Accountancy Building on the campus of the institution of which land has been allocated by the management 

The Rector who lauded the set whose membership include the Accountant General of Federation, Dr(Mrs) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein for chosing to construct the proposed "Accountancy Building" as part of its 35th anniversary,  recalled some of the outstanding performances of students from the Accountancy Department of MAPOLY, saying the institution has continued to produce Higher National Diploma graduates who qualified as Chartered Accountants before they graduated from the polytechnic 

MAPOLY according to him, has been making  tremendous progress with expansion of academic programmes being offered by the institution in the past years , despite the financial challenges confronting it 

The Head of Accountancy Department,Dr kayode Ogunwende who appreciate the visit of the 83/88 Alumni set, for the proposed Accountancy Building, said the project would enhance the teaching and learning of the department.

President of the 83/88 Department of Accountancy Alumni Set, Chief Shina Oluwoye had earlier explained that the initiative of project was to give back to the institution that provided Platform for them to thrive in their chosen field , and to mark the 36th Anniversary of their graduation from the institution 

Chief Oluwoye who applauded the administration of the Institution for a great transformation, urged them to find a lasting solutions to the recurrence issue such as incessant strike in the institution,while calling on Students to shun act capable of jeopardizing their future.
