Rector of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos ,Dr. (Engr) Ibraheem Abdul has issued a stern warning to students of the Nigeria's premier institution, to shun any form of social vices, ranging from raping, cultism, gangsterism and other forms of infidelity capable of tarnishing the image of the College.
The Rector in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews by the Deputy Registrar, Centre for Communication Information and Public Relations (CCIPR) of the College, Adekunle Adams, also cautioned the entire community to desist from these vices
According to him, the Management will not hesitate to apply the full weight of the law on any apprehended student or group of students found wanting in this regard.
He implored the female students to always keep themselves safe at any forum and to report any clandestine act noticed or harassment within the college vicinity.
The present administration, the Rector vowed, would not tolerate or treat with kid gloves issues relating with cults, rape, sexual harassment and indecent acts perpetrated by any student of the College.
He admonished the students to study the students' handbook to be conversant with the dos and donts guiding their stay in the College in order to be worthy in character and learning.
