Al-Mu'Minaat (the Believing Women organisation) has inspired children at Juvenile Home in Asero, Abeokuta being managed by the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, to see their confinement at the home as a place to totally reform them to be useful to the society
Amirah of Al-Mu'Minaat for Egba-Yewa Zone, Hajia Sekinat Yusuf leading the group on humanitarian visit to the home on Thursday as part of activities marking its 2023 week, urged the children not see their stay at the Juvenile Home as an end in itself but a means to an end, a place where they would be rehabilitated as responsible individuals
She promised that the group would continue to compliment government's efforts by ensuring regular visit to the home , calling on the children to always imbibe moral teachings imparted in them
Also speaking Hajia Mujirat Abdulfatai -Shittu in her pep-talk , stressed the need for the children to always listen to the instructions of their parents who are next to God
She warned them against disobeying their parents to avoid incuring the wrath of God and its severed punishment here after
Hajia Mujirat emphasized the need for the children to purify their hearts by doing what is right at right time and steer clear of negative behaviour capable of destroying their future
Similarly Hajia Aminat Lawanson called on them to see staff of the home as their parents by listening to their instructions while making good use of teachings in holy qu'ran and bible as taught by clerics during service at the home
High point of the humanitarian visit was presentation of food items to the officials of the Juvenile Home on behalf of the children
The Amirah, Hajia Sekinat Yusuf also led members of Al-Mu'Minaat to the Ogun State Television (OGTV) Abeokuta in continuation of the group's visit to media houses to further create awareness of its week long activities
The programme continues this Friday with community services in various Local Governments within Egba-Yewa Zone while grand-finale comes up this Saturday 26th of August at Owu-Central Moque in Quarry Road Pepsi Bus stop, Abeokuta
