MAPOLY Alumni Hail Induction of Prof. Oloyede As Member of Nigerian Academy of Letters





Members of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta Alumni Association have lauded the recent induction of Prof.Bayo Oloyede, the immediate past Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Redemeer's University, Ede, Osun State. as a member of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL) in Lagos 

Oloyede was inducted last week Thursday during the 25th Convocation and Investiture of new fellows held  at the University of Lagos  which was presided over by the President of NAL, Prof. Duro Oni, FNAL. 




Chairman, Committee of Distinguished Alumni (CODA) Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Mr Olalekan Otun, described " Prof Oloyede's induction into the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL) as well deserving saying "his contributions to the academic field and journalism is worthy of emulation" 

"1"Prof Oloyede has been able to bring his academic knowledge and brilliance to bear on our society by impacting and mentoring his students and supervises them of which I am one"




According to him, "NAL is a prestigious national scholarly association of eminent professors in the arts and humanities, which has the likes of eminent Nigerians Iike Prof Wole Soyinka and Prof Ayo Banjo, among others, as members."

Also speaking, the National President of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Alumni Association (MAPALUM),Pastor Ezekiel Obasanya, commended Prof Oloyede, and his spouse in particular, for contributing to his success, managing the home front and enabling him to uphold his good character and integrity." 






 "CODA and MAPOLY Alumni salute Prof Oloyede's induction into NAL and further appreciate his contributions to academics, human capacity development and the field of journalism in general," he stated 

"Prof. Bayo Oloyede is the first Master of Science, Mass Communication, graduate of the University of Lagos to earn a distinction. He is an author of several books and articles published in reputable journals," he added






He was Head of the Department of Mass Communication at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta before joining the Redemeer's University where he rose to become the Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences.
