No Admission Letter No Admission Into Higher Institutions- JAMB Tells Candidates

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB) has insisted that no candidate  would be offered admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria without admission letter issued by the board

Regisrar of JAMB, Prof.Ishaq Oloyede restated this in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital  during the 2022/2023 Matriculation organized by the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY)for its newly admitted students into National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes

Oloyede who was represented by  the State Co-ordinator of the board, Mr. Hakeem Abdul-Amin said that the era of backdoor admission was gone for ever , stressing the need for every candidate who secured admission after  writing the Unified Tertiary Institutions Matriculation Examination (UTME) successfully to always obtain their admission letter at the board's offices nearest to them

He warned that no admission process would be seen as completed in any of the tertiary institutions in the country until the admission letter issued to such candidate who had been offered admission to pursue a particularly choice of academic programme

Oloyede commended MAPOLY for complying strictly with admission guidelines of JAMB in the past four years, urging other higher institutions of learning in the country to emulate the polytechnic
