Ogun State House of Assembly has announced the appointment of its principal officers for the smooth running of legislative activities for the Tenth Legislature
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo who made this known on Thursday while presiding over the plenary session at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, announced the names of the principal officers to include
member representing Ado-Odo/Ota I State Constituency, Yusuf Sherif who has been returned as Majority Leader, his Sagamu II Counterpart, Adeniran Ademola as the Deputy Majority Leader

followed the internal arrangements amongst the lawmakers, also announced member representing Ijebu –Ode State Constituency, Hon Olanrewaju Bakare as the Chief Whip, her counterpart Hon. Babatunde Tella representing Abeokuta North, is the Deputy Chief Whip of the house
Others are Hon. Lukman Adeleye representing Odogbolu State Constituency, now the Minority Leader, his Abeokuta South I counterpart, Hon. Lukmon Atobatele as Deputy Minority Leader, while the representatives of Ijebu North I and Remo North, Rasheed Kashamu , son of the Late Senator Buruji Kashamu and Dickson Awolaja were announced as the Minority Whip and Deputy Minority Whip respectively.
The present 26-member of the house comprised of 17 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while the remaining nine are from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
