Brunks Warwick Cautions Eaglets Against South Africans ...Says They Must Play To Win

Nigeria-born Uefa Professional A-License Coach, Brunks Warwick has cautioned Golden Eaglets against the South African cadet side when both sides clash in their last Group B match, this Saturday at the ongoing Under 17 Africa Cup of  Nations AFCON in Algeria

The Apostle of developmental football and founder of Golden Santos Football Academy Abeokuta, in a chat with Edu-biznews on Thursday, warned Eaglets to be weary of the South Africans by going all out for the attack against them to win the crucial encounter

The Nduka Ugbade tutored side only need a draw in their last group match to qualify for quarter final of the competition, because of the superior goals difference over their opponents, having won by lone goal against the Zambians and lost by the same margin to the Moroccans who already secured a place in the next round with six points

But Warwick, a former Assistant Coach of Guinea Bissau U-17 side stressed the need for the two time African champions to play to win the match, saying the South Africans are very good in the attack, having scored three goals against Zambia to win 3-2  in their second group match

The former member of Liverpool John Moore University ,United Kingdom coaching crew to the 2006 World Universities Game in Japan advised the technical crew of Eaglets to approach the match against the South Africans differently, by opening the game through attack from the wings to get the desired result

"They should open up the game against South Africans by using their wings, because the team have the potential to break down any team but the players should not be too anxious to score and win quickly", blaming the inability of Eaglets to score goals in the two previous matches on the anxiety among the players to quickly score and finished the game against opponents

He described the South African side as tactically disciplined team who will go all out to attack  Eaglets who must avoid a defeat

The former utility player forSaint Entiente of  France, FC Porto of Portugal and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri strongly believed in the Nigerian side whom he described as born champions and very determined squad who have aggressive players that can win matches against any team
