Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has
admonished teachers  in public secondary schools across the State to be disciplined in their approach to work, saying it will not condone any act capable of jeopardising the educational agenda of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in the state

The Chairman of the commission ,
Evang.Ifede Olalekan who gave the charge during a monitoring exercise to schools in Abeokuta, following the resumption of schools for the 3rd term, 2022/23 academic session, said their success as teachers would motivate the students in their academic pursuit.

The TESCOM boss stated that the exercise was to ensure optimal efficiency among teaching and non-teaching staff in schools, enjoining them to be hard working and strive for excellence in their chosen profession.

"We ask our teachers to pay attention to their health, impart good knowledge, dress appropriately, maintain moral standards and be a source of inspiration for the students’’.

In his submission, Commissioner IV, TESCOM, Hon. Ademola Adeleye after assessing the Staff Returns, said teachers should keep up with their duties as the present government was doing its bit to better their lot.

Similarly, Commissioner III in the Commission, Hon. Olanrewaju Majekodunmi urged management of schools to always furnish TESCOM with updated records of staff as and when due, to ensure transparency and prevent sharp practices.
