Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Tuesday celebrated Chairman of the Governor's Elders Advisory Council, Chief Oluneye Okuboyejo describing him as a phenomenon whose life was a tapestry of accomplishments.

Abiodun who made this known during the 90th birthday Thanksgiving Service of Chief Okuboyejo at the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour, Ijebu-Ode, commended the celebrant for being one of the six Permanent Secretaries drafted from the Western Region about 46 years ago during the inception of the state.

He also acknowledged the celebrant for his contribution towards alleviating poverty in Ijebu-Ode through the Ijebu-Ode Development Board on Poverty Alleviation, commending him for floating the Oluneye Bisola Okuboyejo Foundation through which scholarships and empowerment programmes were carried out for many sons and daughters of Ijebuland.

The governor while describing the celebrant as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, further commended him for holding the Governor's Elders Advisory Council together.

Abiodun, while thanking God for his victory at the just concluded governorship and House of Assembly elections, disclosed that he would continue to remain focused, fair, equitable and just.

In his message, the Lord Bishop of  Ijebu Anglican Diocese; The Rt Rev'd (Dr.) Peter Rotimi Oludipe, who took his Bible passage from the Book of Luke, Chapter 17 verse 17 to 18,  urged the congregation to see their lives as a gift from God and also charged them to continue to form the habit of praise.

Rev'd Oludipe who commended the celebrant for his contribution towards the development of the Ogun State civil service when the state was created, encouraged him to continue to devote the rest of his life to serve God and humanity.

While urging Chief Okuboyejo to continue to serve humanity through the Oluneye Bisola Okuboyejo Foundation which he founded in 2012,  the cleric charged his children to continue to look after their father.

Oludipe, however, congratulated Governor Abiodun for his victory at the just concluded governorship and House of Assembly elections, lauding him for embarking on the construction of the Agro Cargo Airport, which he said would help to improve the internally generated revenue of the state.
