President Muhammadu Buhari Estate, Kobape Road in Abeokuta, is being restructured by the Ogun State Government to correct the structural deficit observed in the housing estate initiated by the immediate past administration of Sen.Ibikunle Amosun
The move is inline with the committment of the Prince Dapo Abiodun's administration to complete all abandoned projects of the immediate past administration
The State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Town Planner Olatunji Odunlami during an inspection of the Estate, said it was discovered that the Estate had a structural deficit and this propelled the State Government to bring in experts for its upgrade.
Odunlami who was represented by Deputy Head of Department, Physical Planning, Town Planner Junaid Olayinka maintained that the administration believed that government is a continuum and that it would not watch such a project implemented with taxpayers' money wasted away.
The Commissioner added that already, the expert engaged had embarked on the redesign of the estate layout which makes it ready for allocation to interested members of the public.
Speaking on the socio-economic benefit of the step taken, Odunlami posited that the project would increase housing availability for the people, as well as increase internally generated revenue of the State.
