Fuel Scarcity: Petrol Stations Refuse To Comply With Regulated N195 Pump Price, Sells At N260, N270 Per Litre In Abeokuta

Most of the filling stations being operated by independent marketers in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital have refused to comply with regulated pump price of N195 per litre of Premium Motor Spirit popularly known as Petrol and now re-adjusted the pump price down ward from N350 to , between N260 and N270

Edu-biznews recalled that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN)  interfaced  with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority and agreed  to the N195 pump price of the product. 

Also Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, security agencies and the downstream regulator, had all agreed that petrol be sold at N195/litre.

But most of the few filling stations in Ijaiye, Ijemo, Ake, Adatan and Carwash areas of Abeokuta were seen dispencing the product at pump price between N260 and N270 per litre, despite the claim top official of IPMAN are now getting the product from depot in Lagos at the ex-depot price of N172
