A member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi has
has facilitated the grading of 500 kilometers of road in her Yewa South State Constituency, to enhance the roads network and transportation of people and goods, particularly farm produce to one community market to another, as part of measures being taken to boost business and other commercial activities in the area
Some of the community roads graded include, Orita-Pahayi, Iparioda-Omoemi, Isale-meje, Ago Gambari-Sabo, Ileba, Oke-Okuta, and Oke-Ela.
Ajayi in an interactive session with newsmen in Ilaro, explained that the road grading was part of the numerous projects lined up to ensure that the people in her constituency enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs added that the road grading would promote the inter-community free flow of traffic, thereby making transportation easy
According to her, "grading of community roads in my constituency is just one of the core assignments that must be done, the road grading was just one of the numerous projects lined up to improve the living standard of my people’’.
She noted that the road grading was carried out to complement the ongoing road reconstruction along Owode/Ilaro road being executed by Prince Dapo Abiodun's led administration.
The Lawmaker called on the people of Yewa South Local Government Area to continue to remain a reference point of peaceful co-existence, adding that the dividend of democracy could only be enjoyed in an atmosphere devoid of crisis.
In their separate remarks, Mr. Azeez Roheem and Alhaja Adenike Idowu, Oke-Okuta and Oke-Ela communities appreciated the developmental project embarked upon by the lawmaker, adding that she has represented the area well and has impacted her constituency with life-changing programmes.
