Ogun APP, Governorship Candidate Dismiss Disqualification Publication Against Abiodun , Threaten Legal Action Against Sponsors

The Action Peoples Party(APP) and its governorship candidate in Ogun State, Olufemi Falana have disassociated themselves from the publication by an online media seeking the disqualification of Governor Dapo Abiodun as gubernatorial candidate on the platform of the All Progressive Congress APC for the 2023 poll

The State Chairman of the party, Biola Martins and Secretary, Adebisi Samuel in a statement, vowed to take a legal action against the sponsors of the news which APP described as provocative and an act of cowardice against the governor who has done his best for the people of the state, saying the party is ready to contest with him at the governorship poll

"We are by this release dissociating our great party and its candidate from the malicious publication, whose main objective is to pitch us against the executive Governor of Ogun State", the party stated

"We consider Prince Dapo Abiodun as a man who has done his best for Ogun State, with whom our party wants to compete"

"Asking for his disqualification could therefore be cowardice of our party. We shall therefore leave no stone unturned to press charges against the sponsors of this nefarious news . We remain commited to the peace and tranquility of Ogun State, despite political differences", the statement concluded
