Nigeria's Flamingoes have secured their place in the quarter-final stage of the ongoing FIFA Women U-17 Worldcup in India, after beating Chile in the team's last Group-B match played on Monday
Blessings Emmanuel gave the Nigerian cadet side an early lead within just four minutes of play before Bisola Mosaku increased the margin in the 82nd minute , the Chileans later reduced the tally to end the encounter at4 2-1
Also Germany defeated New Zealand 3-1 in other match in the group, to maintain its top spot with maximum nine points while Nigeria finished in the second position with six points, having won two of the three matches
in the group and lost the first match to the leader of the group
Flamingoes will clash with next opponents in Group A , USA, Brazil or Morocco in the quarter-final stage
