Governing Councils:Olu of Ilaro Assures Gov.Abiodun of Salimot Badru, Others Of Justifying Appointments..Pledges Yewa Monarchs' Support For Second Term In Ogun




 
The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewa Land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle has assured Governor Dapo Abiodun that former Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salimot Badru and other indigenes of Ogun West appointed as members of the reconstituted Governing Councils of the Ogun State owned tertiary institutions, would justify their various appointments by providing qualitative service in their respective Institutions  

The second term bid of the governor also received a boost as the monarchs in Yewa Traditional Council, declared their support for  his continuation in office beyond 2023

Oba Olugbenle who was speaking during the 70th birthday of a renowned business man, Alhaji Akeem Adigun, held in Lagos over the weekend, acknowledged the decision of the governor to name the celebrant as a member of the Governing-Board of the Ogun State InstItute of Technology, Igbesa

The monarch also expressed  confidence that the celebrant and others from Yewaland recently appointed into various governing-boards of the state's government tertiary institutions would add more value to the quality of education in the state 

Governor Abiodun last Friday approved the appointment of Badru as Chairman for Governing Council of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo, Prof. Rahman Bello as Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman for the Governing Council of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode as well as Chief(Mrs) Iyabo Apampa and Chief Muftau Ajibola as members of Governing Councils for  the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye and D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic , Itori, Ewekoro respectively  amongst other notable Yewa indigenes 

On the second term ambition of the governor, the Paramount Ruler who 
conveyed the decision of the Yewa Traditional Council, says the monarchs in Ogun West are united and solidly behind the emergence of Abiodun for a second term.

Oba Olugbenle noted that the "case is closed" in regards to the forthcoming general election in the state, adding that "all those who are yet to come to terms with the reality  will soon do so".

The monarch, who also commended the humble nature and the love of the governor for the people of Yewaland, assured the governor of the total support of all the sons and daughters of Yewaland.

 "At the Yewa traditional council, we don't have any pending fight any longer over any governorship candidate, member of the House of Representatives or the Senate, the case is closed, as far as we are concerned.

"We thank you for the love you have for us in Ogun West, I want to assure you that our sons and daughters are solidly behind you, don't be afraid.

"Your Excellency, Be calm, all those who are yet to understand and face the reality will soon understand, some of us totally understand, we would give you that resounding victory through our votes," the Olu of Ilaro assured.

Earlier in his remarks,  Governor Abiodun described the celebrant (Alhaji Akeem Adigun),as an embodiment of humility whom he says, is very focused, calm and never stops to help those in need.

Abiodun, while appreciating the celebrant for his support towards the emergence of his administration in 2019, noted that that the celebrant is still solidly behind his administration.
