Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has described the death of a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Alhaji Ganiyu Kanimodo as a great loss to the Public Service and the State as a whole.
The governor who made this known when he paid a visit to the deceased family in Abeokuta, noted that his death was painful, saying "the news came to us as a shock, but our God remains unquestionable”.
"We have come to condole with you, the wife and the children, we pray the Almighty God grants you the heart to bear this very irreparable loss because we know that he must have left brothers, sisters and siblings", he stated
Abiodun pledged that the State Government would not leave the family behind, noting that the deceased had served the people and government meritoriously, impacted the lives of all those he met during his time in the Service, and had reached the peak of his career.
Responding on behalf of the family, the brother of the deceased, Alhaji Razaq Kanimodo appreciated the Governor for the visit and noted that his message would be delivered to other members of the family.
