Brunks Warwick Cautions NFF Against Interference In Paseiro's Job As Eagles Manager

Delta State born Uefa-A License Coach, Brunks Warwick has cautioned Nigeria Football Federation NFF against interference in the job of the new Super Eagles Portuguese Manager, Jose Paseiro for him to succeed in the task of piloting the affairs of the three times African Champions

Warwick who was a member of the  technical crew of the United Kingdom's team to the 2006 World Universities Games in Tokyo,Japan in a chat with Edu-Biznews in Abeokuta, accused top officials of NFF of interfering in the list of invited players during the era of the Franco-German tactician,Gernot Rohr who was later sacked by the football body as Eagles' Manager for poor performance and perceived indiscipline in the team, after Nigeria's one-all draw with Cape Verde in the last Qatar 2022 World cup  qualifier played in Lagos

The former Assistant Coach of Guinea Bissau 's cadet team stressed the need to give Paseiro free hand to select his choice of players base on merit for the Eagles 

According to Warwick, "the same problem of poor performance and indiscipline will continue in the team under Paseiro, if the mafia within the NFF continue to detect the choice of players to be invited into Super Eagles' camp for matches"

The former utility player of FC Porto in Portugal, Saint Entiente of France and AS Bouake of Coted-'Ivoire, defunct NNPC of Warri and Concord of Abeokuta both in Nigeria, however called for involvement of ex-International in the running of football in the country, just like in Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Zambia 

He added former players of Super Eagles would run football better because they understand the game and share the feelings of players in camp,not politicians who are only interested in enriching themselves at the expense  of players and coaches  

The 2013 leader of Ireland para-Olympic team  queried the sacking of Rohr at a time when the Eagles were preparing for Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, saying the Franco-German tactician had not perform badly     

Paseiro is expected to be in Cameroon for the AFCON this January as observer in the Super Eagles' Caretaker technical crew led by NFF Technical Director, Austine Eguavoen

The Super Eagles currently in camp in Abuja, will take on seven times African Champions, Pharaoh of Egypt on 11th of January and later clash with Sudan and Guinea Bissau in Group D of the Africa's most prestigious football show piece
