League Management Company LMC, the organizers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL declared that the elite league 2021/2022 season kicking off on 17th of December,2021, would not observe break for celebration of Christmas, Boxing day and as well as New Year and Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in Cameroon
According to LMC, "There will be League games on Boxing Day (Dec 26th) and on Jan 2, 2022."
The league Champions,Akwa United of Uyo will trade tackles with Aiteo Cup Champions,Bayelsa United on 12th of December in Ibadan.
The season is expected to end on the 27th of July, 2022
Though discussion with a broadcast company is slow, LMC is optimistic about live games via its NPFL television project
