Odun Omo- Olowu Has Unified Abiodun,Amosun, Egba-land-Obasanjo




Nigeria’s former president and Balogun of Owu-Abeokuta kingdom, Olusegun Obasanjo has described the celebration of this year’s “ODUN OMO-OLOWU” as a unifying factor that brought together  the top traditional rulers in Egba-land as well as Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State  and his predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun representing Ogun Central





The highly elated Prime-Minister of Owu speaking on behalf of Olowu of Owu-Abeokuta, Oba Olusanya Adegboyega Dosunmu on Saturday at the grand-finale of the festival  in Abeokuta , was full of praises for the presence of the Alake Of Paramount ruler of Egba-land, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and Agura of Gbagura-land , Oba Sabur Bakre, saying  it is beginning of unity among Egba top monarchs

Obasanjo tasked the top traditional rulers in Egba-land to sustain the unity among them , adding that the governor would be happy to work with united people of Ake , Gbagura, Owu and Oke-Ona Egba for the development of entire Ogun Central in the state

He shower  encomium on the effort  of the Planning Committee led Omoba Rotimi Olasode-Martins as the Owu –youths led by  Prince Muhad Adetilo  and Obas and high chiefs for ensuring the success of the festival ,urging them to continue in the same spirit for the progress of the kingdom





Governor  Dapo Abiodun commended the Owus for their support to his administration, promising never to take them for granted in the provision of basic facilities
Abiodun vowed that his administration would never be distracted and destractors who placed their personal interest above the overall welfare of the people

“Our administration remained focus on its “Building Our Future Together” ,which coincides with the theme of this year’s ODUN OMO-OLOWU DAY. We are focus on ensuring the prosperity of OGUN people by ensuring the completion of inherited projects with economic value for development of the state”, he assured

The governor later announced a donation of N5million on behalf of the State Government  and  personal donation of N5million for the new palace project of the Olowu of Owu-Abeokuta kingdom’
