Highy rated Gbenga Ogunbote has been appointed as Head Coach of the newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL side, Remo Stars FC of Ikenne-Remo in Ogun State
The former tactician of Sunshine Stars of Akure was inveiled by the management of the club on Tuesday, ahead of the 2021/2022 season in the Nigeria's top flight league
Ogunbote who is fondly called“The Oracle” takes over from Coach Daniel Ogunmodede who piloted the team to secure the needed promotion from the second tier Nigeria National League in the just concluded season.
Ogunmodede is expected to join the technical crew of CD Fereinse in the Portuguese league
The Portuguese club is owned by Remo Stars owner, Hon. Kunle Soname
The former handler of Gateway United of Abeokuta and Shooting Stars football club of Ibadan,won the AITEO Cup crown in 2018 with the former League Champions, Rangers International of Enugu, the flying Antelopes who came from three goals down to beat Kano Pillars
