Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Gateway United Football Club survived early minutes scare, to beat hard-fighting Ijebu United FC, via 5-3 penalties in one of the semi-finals of the Ogun State Football Association Cup played on Sunday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo
Lowly rated Ijebu United took the lead through Obakim Joshua in just 16minutes of the encounter, before Oronsaye James drew level for Gateway United, to make it one-all at the end of regulation time which forced the match to be decided by penalties
Gateway will now clash with another unknown side, Easywell FC which created a major upset, beating Nigeria's second division team, FC Nilayo via another penalties, after both sides failed to score within the regulation time of the other semi-final match played at the same venue
The final match of this year's Ogun State FA Cup holds this Monday at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta by 3pm
